Bridgestone Dueler D697

If I were you I'd be firstly borrowing a set of standard wheels/tyres and taking that for a drive, least it will pinpoint either the alignment if it's the same or the d697's if it drives normal

I was really hoping it would help with buffeting from having a single rear window open.

What type did you fit and how do they perform compared to the originals?

I have the Bridgestone D697 Dueler Tyres, can't really say I can compare them to the original as they were swapped out pretty much straight away. The Duelers make the steering a tad heavier and road noise slightly louder but no where as near as the same type of tyre on my last 2013 Hilux.

But in answer to bwatson's question about wheel alignment - I had mine aligned at the initial 1000k check over as they were pulling to the right. Checked the tyre pressure on the morning before I dropped it off just to make sure that wasn't the cause. Pretty slack straight from the factory me thinks.

Just for cosmetics, had the Sports Bar done in Sahara Black powder coat, not sure if I like it, may look better in Crystal Pearl.

Does anyone know if the standard front bar has been trimmed or cut to fit the genuine nudge bar?

Speaking of the genuine nudge bar, does anyone else think the shape is a bit wrong and the angles don't suit the front of the new hilux? Maybe it's just me ;)
Has anyone else tried the Nuforce or Bossco nudge bars from ebay? They look a bit better i think, although they are probably both cheap chinese made bars, there isn't much to them and they should be fine to hold a light bar or driving lights... I contacted both and they both said their bars were ADR compliant, but offered no more info...

Yes you will need to do some cutting to fit the nudge bar. Go to https://toyotamanuals.com.au/accessories and enter the part PZQ2989340. You will be able to download the installation instructions and see for yourself

Problem with the nudge bar Hutch is that down the track it comes off and an Axis bar goes on, in black of course.

Not a great fan of all black rims unfortunately, I do like a little bling showing. :)

I've managed to get a set of BFG AT KO2 265/70r17 on a ROH Octagon Wheels running +30 offset.

This is on a new 2016 SR5 HIlux with standard lift. There is no rubbing whatsoever.

That's what we are all trying to establish mate. It's a combination of rim offset and tyre size. From what we have worked out so far, 0+ offset seems to be the go as far as standard guards go. I am yet to experiment myself. The further you go out the wider your stub axel steering radius, which means the wider you go the closer your tyres cake to scrubbing when turning obviously.

Has anyone got a genuine steel bullbar on their new hilux? Would like to grab some measurements of the spotlight holes so I can work out if my xgts are going to fit.

Cheers,
