Wheel nuts

Had my 10k service 2 weeks ago. I decided to see if I could undo the wheel nuts. Could not move them with my best wheel nut wrench. Had to use my sons rattle gun on all nuts and retighten manually. My question is has anybody had any luck asking Toyota servicing not to use a rattle gun to do up wheel nuts but to tighten then to correct torque as per the service manual?

When you pick it up next time take a torque wrench with you and check them at the shop. Take photos of yourswlf doing it. I doubt youll even need to do anything more i reckon a manager will be asking whats going on pretty quickly. If not send an email complaint with your pictures

I had a few dramas with my boys in the tyre bay getting a bit serious with the rattle gun, especially towards the end of the day when they've done a heap of wheel sets, cost me a few bucks too...., so I invested in a set of torque bars that are vehicle specific. They go on your gun and twist when the required torque is reached. No problems since. They came with a big easy to read reference chart and the bars are all different colours to match.
