Doesn't matter, whatever fits best. The ID of the nylon hose supplied with most boost gauges is only 2mm or so anyway

KTM525EXC,

Sorry for bringing up an old post but I am looking at installing a boost gauge soon

Is it me just seeing this? but is the hose where your T piece 2 different colours?

Also mate, did you cut the tubing and insert T piece whilst that tubing was still connected and everything :D ?

Where are people getting their T pieces from.
I bought an Sports Comp Auto Meter gauge and it did not come with a T piece at all.

Sorry to revive and old thread but the information KTM525exc gave is inaccuarte. The tee peice placed in that position gives inaccurate and faulty readings according to the pedal position. It needs to be placed between the turbo and intercooler. I bought a threaded barb fitting and drilled and tapped it into that pipe. Much more accurate reading. Will post pics if blokes need

Sounds reasonable to me, best place to find unadulterated boost is right after the turbo!

Another idea is to tap into the intercooler somewhere with a bung. Someone mentioned a blow off valve... there ain't one on a d4d
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

I have a 2KD-FTV non-ntercooled and in that position I get a pretty smooth and constant gauge operation. Seems to peak at 11PSI at the moment. No vacuum though which I assume is normal for these diesels with no throttle plate?
