Has anyone found a box that would fit behind the seat to fit a rifle in?

Ive got a mate who had his foam cut out in his dual cab by a upholsterer to fit his rifles, has a flap of material that Velcros over the top so you can't tell they're there.
I'm thinking of either copying him or just pulling out my back seats all together and making some shelving

good day, just did this mod on my 2013 SR (though this one is a cbu thailand lhd unit). rear bracket is different from the one pictured, there's no hook and tried the 42mm as instructed and even grinding it down slowly until 38mm where it clears the latch. every work done was very much worth it, lots of usable space back there now. thanks

I have looked through first couple of pages..is there a step by step from start to finish how to do this mod as I can only see the bit where you cut the catch down(sorry if this question has been asked before) thanks

I'm sure if ya read it you'll work it out but it's very easy! Lift the seat rite up and you'll see the bolts that hole the whole thing in. Unbolt it then you'll need to slide the whole seat up and off the hooks, it can be tricky but if ya get a mate on the other end and ya both slide it up it'll be easier. Cut the hooks to length, reassemble and enjoy all that space.

X2. Has anyone had a look to see if it is possible to do back seat mod on 2016 SR5 dual cab I am thinking it looks difficult but may be not impossible with the 60 40 split seat.

Easiest and most effective mod ever.
It will take far longer to make a shallow box to put in there to hold stuff in place.

2nd of 2 post's in 2 or 3 days and all I do is give thanks!

Thanks!

Just did mod today on 2006 4.0 V6, took an hour or so. Found I had to cut down to about 37/38mm rather than the suggested 42mm. Then I threaded 8m of Bungy cord and cable ties to create an elastic back for Tyre repair kit, recovery strap, shovel etc etc. works brilliantly!

Need to take a little more off mate. Mine are just under 40mm.
