Folding back seat mod - For ALL dual cabs

I went to do the bend method and bent them a little then realised I was going to have to bend them a long way so opted out of it and did the cut method. So you could say I have done both. I didn't like how in the bend method it looked like it would of been the hook shape which would be the catching surface rather than a flat surface when cut, if you know what I mean.

Good stuff mate!

With a D/C, space is a premium, it really should've been folding to begin with...

I'm looking at getting one of these - seems like it might be a useful way to keep everything from floating around behind that seat:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221072119390?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_825wt_907

Max extenion across the clips is 1.7m but its adjustable, waiting on dimensions of the bag itself

Thats an expensive way to do things. Your call but. Supa cheap, bunnings, or most auto joints will have one for 10 or 15 bucks. Or leave the net and go hanging shoe pouch at back on floor. Thats also $11 approx. same amount of gear. Or even both will be cheaper.

Only trying to help

Thanks Joe,

Just started looking and that was the first thing I came across and seemed to fit the bill well.

Looks like a trip to Bunnings this weekend then

Cheers

Yeh I'm sure I saw one at auto 1 for 15 when I was looking but then I decided to fit the shoe compartment and I'm wrapped. So I decided against the net.

The photo is crap but you get the idea. Also the net looks like a sandwich. I think most guys cable tie it 3 sides so you probably only need 1/2

Not trying to convince you just showing what works for me.

I got those little fencing clips and the tool from bunnings to attach my net, my need to redo it as there seems to be alot of play in it...

I'll be looking at getting that show-hanger also, so soon i shall have both options.

Craig

Don't forget the treds or max trax are your first line of defense and they have a shovel. The straps behind my seat are extras, tree protectors etc. Aaron have you bought you're trax yet.

Just if anyone is interested,I got onto a Trunk net from Supercheap (think it was around $20.00) part number PLU119533,& just cable tied it in various places around the steel wire behind the seat fits pretty good, you can store enormous amounts of stuff in there, not to mention all the space on the floor near the rear wall. Might have to look at putting dual wheels on the back to carry all the extra gear.
