How to set EQ on 2011 SR???

Hey all, I've been an 80 series guy for the past 6 years but have just upgraded. It's a pretty sweet ride so far. Except the stereo. I can adjust low and high frequency band but whenever I select 'mid' it just takes me back to low and high. Don't these stereos have a mid control at least? Maybe I'm missing something. The manual doesn't mention eq at all

I try to select 'asl off' and that's where the mids ate bought up but can't be selected. What's 'asl'?
