Anyone who can't wash their car before taking pics to SELL, isn't worth buying from.

Maybe thats just me, but I'm not buying it.

Yeah although it does have a few addons so around 30-35k would be reasonable I would reckon.

have offered $27,000 but he said he would rather keep a 3 in the front.
was previuosly owned by a road works guy from new till probably 2009 i think.

they said something about water pump leaking when they got it checked out a few days ago, are these expensive to replace?

thanks for the replies, does anyone now how much insurance would roughly be on something like this for a 21 year old?

lots of questions.
Cheers Darren

Maybe shop round some more mate, unless you will use all the extras included, aim something a bit more original. My old pop used to say, "something is only worth what someone will pay for it"!

well i bought the car today.

There is just one thing that needs replacing and that is the water pump as its leaking a small bit. aparently the timing belt has to come off at the same time? as it was replaced 27,000km ago would it be worth replacing?

its very nice to drive, does not feel like it has that many kilometres on it.

Cheers Darren

I wouldn't worry about the k's sold my 05 diesel lux with 292,000 on it and it was still going very strong.

100k for timing belts usually. If there is no evidence of the timing belt being replaced by receipts or logs, then you may as well throw a new one in there to be sure and keep the old one as backup with tools for those isolated trips. You never know.

Hey guys, first post ;)
I'm looking at an 2007 SR 4x4 Diesel dual cab in Melbourne. It's a private sale, and he's got full service history. 71,000km on the clock, it looks immaculate from the photos, inside and out, he tells me it has only been used for family use. He's put moulded flares, colour coded grille and a new SR5 tub and tailgate on (which is what i was going to do anyway), and SR5 rims. Drive train/engine is stock standard.
Looking at other SRs on the market, a comparable one with 90-100K on it, without any of the SR5 gear would cost around $27500 minimum. Do you think the $2000 worth the lower kms and few mods?
I'm going to get the RACV to check it over for me before I decide to get on a plane to look myself. The only issues I have is no ABS and he did tell me straight out, that the doors on one side had been hit by something and replaced. However he did seem cool about an inspection. I'm from SA by the way. Just after some thoughts...
Thanks

oh yeah duh forgot the price... yep $29500 is what he's asking, doesn't sound like he wants to go too much lower either, might be able to knock off the $500 depending.
