aiming/adjusting spotlights

I have 2 spotlights mounted on bull bar just been going through the annoying task of aiming them.
The methods I've read used are the standard headlight way by facing a flat wall using measurements marked on the wall to aim or finding a straight stretch of road and playing with them there to get the best distance.
I Would like to know how everyone else is doing it? and what way works best?

I do the straight road at night trick and stand in front of one of the spot lights so the other one is shiny down the road and adjust it how I like it. Than repeat for the other side.

I use a spirit level/straight edge. One of those long spirit levels that builders use. I use the straight edge across the face of the two spotties, this gets them pointing straight ahead. Then use the spirit level on the face of each to get it straight up and down.

This will get them pointing in the general direction that you want them to be pointing.

Then point the car down the road, and sit in the drivers seat to see what fine tuning is needed.

Yep straight dark road. Throw a jumper over the other lights and aim 1 at a time.

I do mine with a straight edge to get them pointing straight, then adjust the vertical when pointing at a wall, and aim them at the same height as the factory high beams...

my driving LED's are Euro Beam, so cast flood and spot, so factory high beam aiming is perfect
