you wont get warranty, they'lll tell you its normal for a commercially rated vehicle (which it is).

Stiff chassis and leaf sprung vehicle mate.

Try droppping tyre pressures if you're offroad ... also put some weight in the rear, it settles mine down a fair bit (heavy duty leaf springs).

But mostly it's just the vehicle mate.

I jumped in my mates FJ (stock and soft)... dead quiet all around ... man it was bloody lovely hurtling down tracks and you could barely hear or feel a thing. my hilux and get shaken violently with panels sounding like they want to fall off.

I do somewhat regret asking for suspension that is setup for weight carrying ability.

Not sure about no warranty. A friend of mine has a persistent door rattle and the selling dealer is being very helpful.

The difficulty with so many of these problems is that they perversely refuse to appear for the dealer :D

When you say the seat belt height adjusters, is it the belt itself flapping and knocking? My 2012 does this, and i am usually really obsessive about crap like this, but it doesnt even worry me. It doesn't change no matter the position of the belt ie. if its twisted and the buckle is knocking.

If it concerns you take it in to the dealers and ask them to look at it. Its under warranty and it wont hurt to check

My front belts do normally knock after some has been using them and they are left twisted. Untwisting them fixes the front ones.
The rear belt buckle vibrates against the door all the time. Fixed this by buckling them up when not in use.
It took a while to figure out what was knocking but all fixed now :D

yeah ive done the untwist action and that, its the part that you can pull it up or lower it down... on the pillar.. also the door card is the major one. just sounds extremely loose.. and driving nearly 2 hours to and from work everyday in traffic really pisses me off

This^.

Might front belt stalks (the bit with the clip) rattled like crazy.

I cut a $1 car wash sponge in half and jammed it between them and the centre console. Works a treat.
Also handy when you want to give it a quick wash :)

Have just bought a 2012 dual cab. I love it but the rattling inside the cab is driving me crazy!
It seems to be coming from where the handgrips should be on the ceiling on both sides in the backseat area.
There are handgrips in the front but not in the back. I'm wondering if there's something loose or fallen off (if the handgrips were taken off). How can I fix this? If I install handgrips, will that do it?

Fact one, crazy is good.
Fact two, the Hilux is a commercial vehicle, just ask Toyota Australia or any of it's fan club.
Fact three, I am not a part of that fan club.
Fact four, crazy is good.
