My guess would be that your going to be forking out some cash for a turbo.

No fault codes? Id suspect Mitch will be on the money. Either a turbo or a turbo control problem. Really needs some proper diagnosis before replacing anything but. Good luck.

There's a difference between the turbo spinning and actually boosting under load. Your egr prol is dirty but didn't suddenly block and it sounds to be pretty serious for a serious problem. We're all just throwing ideas out there man trying to help?
Is there any fault codes?

Na not sure about fault codes my engine light has been on for a long time (other reasons) and thank you I do understand, I'm not trying to have a go at anyone or a smarta**I didn't mean anything bad, just letting you's know about it (trying to be discriptive) I do muchly appreciate the help

I didn't hear anything happen with the turbo ( clunking, grinding) nothing like that at all I just woke up one morning to go to work and it just seemed to run like a peice of s***

Yeah i think usually the variable vane actuator on the turbo stops working, causing it to jam up in 'low rpm mode'. Hence why your hearing it in first gear.

That's the little electric motor on the top of the turbo. It's also what causes the buzzing noise when you turn the ignition on. My suggestion would be get the codes out and see what they are and fix what you know is wrong before you go chasing more faults.

Hey buddy, I have already pulled that motor off and supplied it with power (outside the vehicle) it seemed to work fine, is there a way to get the codes without a computer I have done it on a vectra but can't seem to find anything on a hilux??
