AV In On A Fujitsu Head Unit? ... YES

If you can get it, the just-released Pure 4 as it is the new diversity-4 config (uses 4 antennas for "better signal"). I ended up getting the Alpine tuner as it was supposed to intergrate fully with the touch screen of Alpine head unit I ended up getting (which, incidentally it does integrate but not fully, and if I'd known would have gotten the HiTv). Signal reception is ok but not great where I live, but when I do get solid signal, picture is great (but that could also be the higher resolution Alpine screen)

Bear in mind tho, the Alpine and HiTV are only standard def boxes ... will NOT display HD signals such as One, 7-Mate, Gem etc. There are some supposed HD boxes available on Ebay but I have no idea on the quality of them.
Cheers,

does the av work while driving or do you only us when stationary???

would anyone know how to enable the factory head unit functions while driving??

say for example connect a Bluetooth device or type location input into gps or enter phone number while in motion?. it's a pain to stop every time you need to input into the head unit.

There is a mod to enable everything when in motion. I did it on mine and everything worked fine.

Hi, any normal AVI files seem to work ... avi, mpg, mp4, etc. I did connect my iphone using the genuine Apple av cable ... it's how I tested the setup initially.

Thanks Scuba Dooba.
Do you find that it actually does anything at all? Does it take any of the glare off the screen much?.

Cheers. Thanks for your help and info.

No, its pretty crap really, as it doesnt extend far enough out to make much difference. Plus, the fit on these things isnt great either - there are gaps where the visor doesnt line up properly with the radio surrounds, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Others' suggestions for visors are more useful - someone created one from a laminated piece of paper that was folded and slips down the side of the radio - fully djustable and works great !!!

Just found another one that I think might actually do the job ... it's certainly big enough ! Not cheap tho -

Hi i am about to attempt this mod on my head unit.
Can you tell me if the resistors that are attached to pin 25 (Purple Wire) is the other end connected to the audio ground of the Auxiliary loom ? Or another pin.

Thanks.

Does anyone have a nice set of photos or diagrams of where to connect things? Including the pin numbers? It's a little less than clear.

Hi, could someone tell me where you plug your device (iPhone6) into to play files as I can't see anything plugged into the head unit in the pictures. Is there a separate aux outlet or can you plug into the head unit USB via a AV lead??

Many thanks
Steve

Just curious. Did you end up installing a TV tuner. If so, care to show us?
