if i were you i would leave the MAP sensor alone and just clean the filter as the sensor is very delicate

Cleaned my MAF sensor today. It seemed pretty clean already, but thanks for the info on how to do it.

I found a tiny smear of grease on the o-ring and a gentle twisting motion was enough to get it back in place.

MAP sensor is on the battery side of the Intercooler under the engine cowling. There is a boost line that comes out of the throttle body, goes through the MAP filter (which you should also clean by the way) then continues onto the MAP sensor.

MAF sensor is ontop of the air filter housing.

Hey mate, where did you get that intercooler foam surround thing. Do you notice any performance increase with it, obviously would get more cold air? Cheers

Hey lemon. I bought the foam from Clark rubber and made it myself.
To be honest I didn’t really notice any difference at all.

However I only did this because I have lifted the body of the Ute so there was a 50mm gap.
Normally the rubber seal from the bonnet seals onto the engine cover so nothing extra is needed.
I recently upgraded the intercooler if you check my build thread. This made a big difference and I haven’t even put the engine Cover back on yet, so I would definitely recommend that if you’re looking to lower temps!
