Have a look at where the wire leads into the bar and see if there is a leak there.

Pretty hard to locate where moisture is coming from. Perhaps take it apart and run some sillicone sealant alone the housing?

This tends to happen on bars that don't have a breather. More expensive ones have a breather on either end. What brand is it ?

Screws on each side should be able to do it.

I just revealed the glass from the outside and drilled 3x 1/8 drain holes in the bottom. Occasionally gets a bit of mist in it, but clears up quickly 8-)

Look down the cooling fins for any other screws? Does that top aluminium cover slide off?

It doesnt have any screws at the bottom..
Sides only... Heres an update, ive put some sealant on the wire.. & right im gonna let it dry by placing a blower fan on the sides.. Km gonna leave it for a day..band Hope that dries up tomorrow.. Any suggestion how do i remove the glass so i could wipe it out

The only opening i saw was the sides & where the wires goes in the bar.

LED bar leak

Postby TheGreenThing on Sat, 05 Oct 2013 10:34 +0000

Some sh!t happened last night & its all my fault I've used a heat gun & blow heated the cooling fins & as i blew the fins I've faced the led bar down.. & started noticing the thermal paste went on the glass & accumulating the sides of the square reflector.. I really cant open the glass to wipe the paste.. Good thing the paste wasn't big

Wish i could open the glass to wipe those nasty paste

Seal the ends mate.
Sell these bars so had this problem a few times. They have a rubber seal on the end that sometimes gets pinched generally if you open them up sit in a warm dry room (linen cupboard under some stuff normally works)
then seal back up with some silicon and bobs your aunty. oh and it wont have a breather thats why it needs to get nice and dry so it doesn't come back.
Cheers Cooper.

Put lots of sealant before sealing or putting back the original rubber gasket.. Then put the plate cover then screw it back
