odo and trip meter menus

Postby rysermon on Tue, 06 Aug 2013 1:52 +0000

hey all, from past cars like my commodore there were always hidden menus and little things you could to to change options with central locking and show digital speedometer where the odometer resides on the cluster.

was wondering if anyone knows of any for example one will be how to reset the timing belt change light when it comes time to replace mine

heres an example of what i mean below that i have taken from another topic

I have a solution for the seat belt beeping noise.

1. turn ignition to on, but do nut start car
2.press odometer button until you get to the odo screen
3. turn ignition off
4. make sure your seatbelt is not fastened
5. turn ignition to on, but do not start car
6. when all lights are on, on your dash pess and hold the trip knob for 12 seconds
7. keep finger on the knob, and fasten your seatbelt.
8. your odometer should read B-On
9. Take finger off button and then press it again and let go straight away.
10. Odometer should read B-Off

And you are done!!!!

But I still recommend fastening your seatbelt!!!!!! :)

just curious to see how many things are hidden that would be of use... i know my commodore had a heap hidden in its odometer like service menus

sorry if theres another topic similar i havent found it in search ><

If you hold the odo button on then turn the key on whilst continuing to hold the button for 8 seconds. Then double push. That is the timing belt reset and reminding feature. You can choose 8,10,11,12,13,14,15. X1000. So 15 = 150 000. And 8 would =80 000.

I could pick 1 - 15, hit this feature on accident as I wanted to reset oil light after a change.
As I'm on 80ish K now I've put it to 7 as I'd assume 150K km is the service interval for the belt?? (Kun26)
