Mine broke in several places after the dog jumped on it. I used super glue with a steel paper clip bent into shape to conform to the corner and act as a brace. That was a year ago - no probs since

nope, you have to buy the whole boot. The plastic brace at the bottom is part of it. I would suggest what was mentioned above, fixing it with a brace. you wont see it from underneath anyway.

I just super glued mine where she was broken, then wrapped some little strips of gaffa around on top of where I glued it.
Waited a day then popped it back in. Worked well.
I hate cars, a lot. But I can appreciate a good 4wd.

Mines in 3 pieces, previous owner failed to mention this... only found out after placing my wallet there while driving and almost losing it down the console.
Talked to Toyota and they advised they dont sell the boot solo, the whole console must be purchased and to no suprise its well overpriced for such a simple matter.

Was hoping you lads knew of a replacement but I guess I should just break out the old superglue and elbow grease.

Im thinking more space for switches or cig. Lighter socket or pocket area for more crap. The lever doesn't cover the whole area & I've noticed a substantial space to the right.

Am I thinking too much.

Yeah, remember it needs to move when you want to select 4X4.

Now I'm going to spend more time watching the gear lever movements whilst off track. Than the track itself.

With all these great minds on here i see a substantial void that can be filled with goodies. I know I've lost charge cables phone & wallets in there so far.

Side Access panel / mini glove box or tiny drawer system in front of lever could work. About calf height on passenger side.

Ha ha.
