Hi Jerry,

Unfortunately our 3d printer has died and we have lost the raw drawing.

Sorry, If we get it up and running again I will post on the forum.

Regards,

Steve

Mods might merge these two threads but a unfolded paper clip brace across the span of the break and super glue works well. Q-bond is awesome for this sort of repair

I had the same problem in my 06. When I was cleaning it out last week and putting a alpine pdx5 amp under the front seat I decided to do something about it.
I got a tube of roof and gutter silicone and glued the boot to the underside of the console. I tried to put the ring back in place to position it first.
I used roof and gutter because it's natural cure. It won't melt any of the plastics. It's a nice to fit. Seems like it will hold.

Wow, I've just gone through the same annoyance with my transfer case boot. The plastic surround is
broken in three places and I've been on the net trying to find a replacement. No dice, have to buy the whole thing. Ridiculous, just need the plastic locator. What's the latest on this subject, is someone fabricating them?
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi everyone,

My first post as it happens. I have 2011 Hilux Invincible 3.0L diesel auto. Not sure of engine designation as STILL can't find VIN plate.

Is anyone printing these parts at all? I could do with one or two, mine having given way whilst cleaning centre console - grrr!

Glad to be on here. Will post in newbies section as wel, if there is one.

Hi Everyone.

Another member directed me over to this thread. We've been trial printing the yellow dash clips that go behind the a/c control panel and they seem to be working well. We want it to work perfect so we're on our third version and its about ready to put to market.

Seems like this is another part that we could help with. Does anyone still need one?

Hi there, I have same issue on same model. My friend will print one for me if I get copy of plan for printer. Are you prepared to share plan you already made up?

Hello all,

I was also met with this broken clip issue. I have designed and laser cut a replacement which works a treat and is much thicker and stronger than the original. 3mm x 13mm acrylic. You will still need to adhere or staple the existing boot to it but I’m very happy with the result. A horrible niggleing issue for hilux owners solved.

Not sure how to post a photo but here’s the fb link, cheers
