Building Brush bars?

Building Brush bars?

Postby kyle300exc on Fri, 21 Dec 2012 4:34 +0000

I am looking at building a set of brush bars. Will post some pics of how I go unless its a fail
Looking for suggestions on weather to use a pipe bender or whether to weld in some bends.
Also if anyone has made them and knows the angles used.

Thanks
Kyle

I had a go at building my own with a bender and wouldnt recommend bender if to do it again. Cut and weld is the go. When you have to bend away from the cab and up is the part that bugged me very fidly to get them the same. Also unless you have a high wall mandrels to sit in the bender its gonna distort the pipe outta shape pre well on the top bend almost 90 degrees. Have A look in utedogs build he just finished his off. Mine never got finished i ended up cutting the bars off and finishing the steps tho there still sitting in the shed
Clamps are about $45 from ARB to suit their bar

Pictures of Scottmans custom made sliders on ARB brush bars.
Had a set of ARB brush bars dropped off today to have a look at and get some angles off, thanks Matt.

Hm might need to give them a call I think. Making the sliders and steps wasn't such a problem, but the bars were. Thanks for that mate

You'll have to wait till I get my sliders done first then we can negotiate

I had a look at Matts ones, good effort but I want a better mounting set up, much like the guys have built on here. Need to incorporate the brush bar into the making of it so it all lines up. ATM Ive got so much going on I dont know when Ill get to look at it.
