Having had both, I would go for the Air on Board system. Give them a call on 03 9874 3222 and you'll soon realise why. Tell them Denis with the Hilux sent you.

That's great information thanks kyle300exc. Will be giving AOB a call. :)

Hi Guys

Just wondering how your water pump bearings are holding up with the extra load?

I replaced the pump on mine as soon as I got it as it was leaking. It now has the amended design two piece pump. Now I'm considering a compressor.

I got a bracket kit from the endless guys - only two of the holes lined up - the others were out by as much as half a hole. Then the compressor tabs were not parralell 60mm at the bottom and 55mm at the top giving the pulley a nice 5mm offset.

Got told it must be my hilux that was different - I must have two of these hilux's that were different because it was the same on both! Anyways just be aware that the quality of the welding and alignment is not all that good.......... I cut it all off and went with a pad mount compressor and a longer serpentine belt - ahhhh the joy of a successful mod!

I'm personally not a fan of endless air compressors, or any engine run compressor.... good in theory, but last thing you want is to have your engine running to use a rattle gun while you've got the car on a jack changing the tyre, PITA  Plus the one we had the mount broke 3 times, even after being strengthened... makes a horrible noise :?
that was 5 or 6 years ago though, so probably improved, though the practicality of needing the engine running is still an issue for me, might not matter for others.

Just re reading my post from years ago. I have done over 120000km since fitting my compressor and in that time I have replaced one belt only a a preventative measure. It has pumped up plenty of tyres and has not let me down. I still use it most weeks to operate my trailer which has a air operated hydraulic ram on it the idle up issue is always a nuisance though

That's a good run.... drive many currogated roads? That was what did ours in.... and it was on a 100 series

this is for the v6 guys out there, have a look if your after an endless air

Has anyone tried this on a 2005-2012 V6? I've had a good look at copying this Tacoma setup for my Hilux but the Hilux has the engine dipstick tube right through this area. Anyone seen a bracket supplier for a V6?
