I won't be developing a kit, just providing the information so that others can put something together themselves. It's pretty straight forward but will require some ability to use a soldering iron.
If you want a kit I'd suggest contacting Andy666 - I don't know how his solution works but it sounded like it was going to be a fair price and possibly easier to install.
I've been testing mine for the last week and haven't had any issues but until some mail order components arrive for further testing my idle up is set at either 1000rpm or 1500rpm depending which resistor values I use. Adjustable is coming soon.
As for tricking the temp sensor, that could be opening a world of hurt as the engine needs to know the temperature for proper fueling etc. It might have the potential to damage the engine in the worst case. It would also be no easier to do then either of the mentioned idle up solutions.

I was only thinking out aloud.
and not using this mod as a driving aid to hold throttle position under load only to bring up the idle for charging purposes, for showers, running compressors to pump up tyres etc etc. It probably wouldnt work anyway...My method of thought was to try and find the upper end of resistance (temperature) before the ECU disables the PWR heat button then have it on a switchable circuit under the bonnet. (If the PWR heat button is controlled by the thermocouple via the ECU??)
I popped the plug off the coolant temperature sensor tonight and put the OHM meter on it and got 0.40 Ohm off it on a cold motor, will warm it up to operating temp and see what the resistance value is then...
