Rich, I had a similar problem and I can't really remember how I got around it.
I may have copied it file by file, after creating a new folder on my hard drive.

HI guys - just trying to get ozi up and running - so far I have backed up the sd card (however like Rich, it wouldn't let me open the IGo8 folder and actually says that folder is empty). I then put in the menu as per randals instructions - however I don't have polnav - am I correct in assuming that the street nav on the unit is IGo8? so if I want to keep using the existing street nav, and add in ozi for off-road use - do I need to modify randals main.ini file so it has the IGo8 exe file instead of polnav? and does anyone know what thats called. HOpe you can help as I seem to have myself in a bit of a pickle - I didn't check what the navi path was to start with so now have no nav at all - just a pretty menu...

All help and advice gratefully received...

so I changed the main.ini file so now it tries to go to igo8 instead of polnav - but it flashes up and then goes away again - do i need to change something on the main memory of the unit?

to explain further - I changed the line in the main.ini file that refers to street\street.exe to igo8.\igo8.exe - so was hoping that when pressing street it would just go to igo8

yeah it will do that if you have the path and executable correct..

check that what you have typed above is correct to what is on the SD card
I changed the line in the main.ini file that refers to street\street.exe to igo8.\igo8.exe

normally there's no . s in the directory name..

thanks Steve - my IGO8 directory definitely has the . in it - it loads the igo8 but then jumps back to the home screen - I think I might need a fix (mentioned somewhere above) from dig_options - will send him an email..

Thanks

As opposed to others problem of an iGO8 directory that appears empty - In my iGO8 directory I can see a whole heap of folders and files, however they will still not copy across to my hard drive.

I have managed to copy some of the files and folders individually, but for some that method will not work, so the rest would be useless without the whole lot / program....

Wouldn't think making a back up of the Mirco SD card would be so hard...

Luxitive did you try your back up card to see if it works?

just got a reply from matt at dig_options

My supplier started protecting the igo8 from copying so you'll need to download another version that is not locked.
Regards,
Matt

so that would be why we can't back up the igo8 directory..

Guys, I have bought this unit direct from the manufacturer. It doesnt have OziExplorerCE on it and Id like to place it on there. It doesnt seem to want to start an exe file from the SD card directory other than that one specificed for the main navigator.... Maybe my operating system is a little different to yours?

there's not much difference mate.. the one i have is the "A-sure" one, which dig_options was originally going to release a year before a-sure did.. so.. they're all pretty much the same..

Cory, the A-sure unit is the new model with digital TV, Dual SD card slots, newer software, dual CPU's, 3 zone, etc etc and apparently has all the bugs ironed out that the earlier models have had. Have a good read through both threads. There are quite a few substantial differences.

The a-sure unit is also very cheap with the current group buy happening at $535.00, or there abouts.

otherwise, wait until more people buy them and write their impressions on the thread and you will get a better idea.

Rich.

Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt swap my unit, but.. really the only different is Digital TV, and the extra sd slot on the front (and you can get the digital tv as an option on dig_options ones anyway)..

the a-sure are not dual cpu.. they use the samsung ARM 32 bit processor. and do not have multiple processors. Ask for clarification on that Rich, but i think you'll find thats correct.

the Three zone, is actually Dual-Zone which dig_options have too.. where you can do different things on head unit to what is output to rear screens. i think they might have their terminology wrong there..

Personally, if i was going to buy a unit today, i'd be purchasing the A-Sure one, as for the $$'s its great value.

Thanx for the info steve and rich. The newer dig options 1, "TP09X1 PRO" has quite a few more features than it's previous model but at a much bigger price. But does come preloaded with ozi and hema maps which ain't bad at all. I've read both threads from start to finish and agree that there very similar units. Makes it hard to choose. Lol

G'day Ryan

I've had mine since July without any dramas. I'd like the bluetooth to save numbers, but it works flawlessly with my phones. The radio doesn't have the best reception in the World, but with my aerial extended like it should be, it picks up the station I listen to. DVDs play well (not that I use it much), I use a USB stick for music and the GPS mounted under the dash works well, too.

There's no need to have someone install it, as it is literally unplug old radio and plug in new one, although yours being '09 it may be different. Just check, but I'm almost certain it would be the same.
The hardest thing about the whole installation for me was the reverse camera, but even that wasn't too difficult.

Would I buy another one? Yep. This or the A-Sure one.

Hi All

I've had my Digi Options unit for quite a while, but have only just updated my old IGO8 to a newer version and also added OZI and a selection menu. I got an updated memory card off Mat (Digi Options) so I have e-mailed him this same question.

After the updated card was installed the new menu did load, ( nice graphics thanks Luxative!) but i could only view the top left hand of the screen.
I could only see the top secion of the "On Road Navigation" icon and the Toyota logo. Nothing else. I suspect this is a screen resolution issue, but have found no solution yet.

Any ideas? Thanks.
