This mod must work on all kinds of toyotas vehicles. Just done it to my new GXL Landcruiser ute, and worked no worries.

The odo button works for hilux and landcruiser utes. All other toyotas seat belt beepers can be turned of using the tech tool in the customize section.

Great tip, works a treat. Along with pulling the key beeper makes it a lot more hunting friendly

Hey all...
I just bought a 2006 sr extra cab ... When I bought it for some reason when the drivers side door is open the interior dome light is not activated ... It works fine for the passenger side ! The guy who had it before me had unplugged the seat belt beeper thing under the seat... So I plugged that back in and that didn't fix the problem...seat belt beeps though ... Also I seem to be missing the alert sounds when I leave my headlights on and key in the ignition ... I'm baffled ...
Can anybody help out a newbie ?
Thanks!

Looks like he has unplugged the drivers door light switch. Remove the switch and verify it is plugged in. If it is plugged in swap with the passenger one to verify if it is faulty or not

Tried the mod didnt work will have to have another go later, but did have the numbers 1-20 come up, was curious and Just read somewhere that it is T-Belt mode, a setting value for the timing belt? Eg 15 = 150,000km) and each press of the button increases by 10000 up to 200,000. Don't know if it's true or not.
Cheers
