That's because they smell like flowers Rod, except for when your sitting on it  Their disgusting things to tip out - glug, glug, glug, opps a lump... glug, glug, glug. Why is it the men always end up with the task of emptying it anyway.

Anyway, back to showers, pouring poop is not shower related, unless... :o :? :D

Pretty graphic description there Shaker! Believe it or not, I have done worse jobs than emptying it so I put up with it. I just give it a good shake first :P . Sorta reminds me of some people I have met over the years....

No one in present company of course

the quickest and simplest and cheapest way to have a shower is use a 4L pressure sprayer from bunnings. leave it in the sun or top up with hot water from a kettle etc. you can get about 3 showers from one bottle. in the bush it works a treat. works like a bidet too if you've run out of toilet paper !!

Yep i got the bunnings pressure sprayer too,( Hills brand )
3 litres stone cold and around 800mls hot just off the boil add to cold ....perfect temp.
Me and the missus get a shower from 4 L and it is more than enough.. 2 L each
Kids get around a litre each as they only young ..

Most conservative way for out back...
12v or others good near more water .

Resurrecting this thread. is there much difference between the Glind and the Piranha shower? Has anyone had any bad experiences with either? What did you pay for your unit?

Views on best place to mount. I've seen it in this forum mounted behind the bull bar / in front of the radiator - will this impact on airflow through radiator?

Is the Piranha mounting bracket a good thing?

Any views appreciated.

Mate I don't have one but there is another popular brand Theldon. I am not sure which brand but one has a brass coupling and the other plastic, there is a post on here about it and how he swapped brands because the plastic hose tail cracked.

Alby means Helton http://www.helton.com.au/

I've got one on my car and as they are smaller, it fits nicely under the battery right beside the heater hoses so its easy to install. See Rod's Rig thread for install pics. I added a Pressure pump....

$49.95 will get you this very simple device, so simple in fact a lot of our members could make it themselves.

The secret though is in the Pot Belly exterior paint.

Put it next to your camp fire after filling it up with twenty litres of cold water then once it gets warm enough pour water into the top spout, the same ammount of water is then be pushed out of the side spout.

Tried it a few weeks ago, after dinner I stoked the fire up, it got hot enough for a coffee.

I have a heat exchange on mine with a 80l water tank and pump 150psi all mounted under the hilux. the outlet has a mixer tap cold and hot. the heat exchanger i made my self took about 30 min and cost $20 , it exchanges heat from the coolent to the tank water on demand when the car is hot and running. it is great for us for showers and cleaning while out and about and also when ever i am working.

doyta,
Hey mate, saw your rig and read a post about the power shower you've got in!!!
I've got one myself but looking for the bracket and some info how to install.
You wouldn't have any info regarding the bracket and what and where you mounted it off!!
Any info would be sweet mate....
Cheers.. Kappa..

Here is my shower, it is one of my old home brew kegs, it has a pressure regulator on the inlet and it connects to my compressor. The outlet has a couple meters of braided hose and a water saver shower head.
We either throw in a couple of jetboils of hot water or leave it in the sun or next to a fire.

Jeez look how shiney my Hilux is in that photo, it was 3 weeks old being run in on Fraser Island.
