little covers in tub at the front

Does anyone know what the little covers at the front of the tub tray are for? They look like they are riveted.

I want to remove one to put a grommet for my wiring.

Are the riveted or are they screwed in from the back?

you drill the pop rivets, remove the covers to fit the factory tub liner.
