2012 Hilux SR - Fog light fitment to ARB Deluxe bullbar

Postby bennyo on Sat, 23 Jun 2012 11:42 +0000

Hi
I recently got my new Hilux SR with ARB Deluxe bullbar, and have purchased a set of suitable DLAA foglights to mount up. Does anyone here have any experience with this?

The fogs come in a housing that as far as I can tell is unnecessary for this fitment, but it does seem as though I don't have quite enough hardware to finish the job. I also have the plastic foglight surrounds that came with the bar, but I'm wondering how to properly secure them as well.

I'll post up some pics if it would help

Thanks

Get rid of plastic housing. Theres no actual hardware used to mount the foggies, they just clip into the tabs in the bull bar. I had to squeeze the tabs together a bit after i put the lights in to make it fit a little bit tighter. The foglight surounds are just siliconed on. I use Sikaflex.

I've just been and clipped them in, it doesn't seem to be very sturdy at all. You didn't have to use any bolts at all?

Got any pics of your installation?

Like Bom83r said mate, there's no bolts involved, just clip into the two steel tabs on either side and then the height adjustment assembly slots into a hole at the rear. If I didn't have to take the bash plates off I could get a photo for ya, should be simple to see once you're under there but.

Yeah I can fit the lights just like you say, but there's no way they will stay in like that out my driveway, let alone off road. I'll post a video sunday arvo,

Same here - bent the tabs in really tight against the light and there solid as - been bounced around big time and over looootttss of corrugations with no trouble
60% of the time, it works every time

So wat your saying guys is the plastic surround that comes with the fog lights gets hoiked out lol? And the light just clips in? Do U need the bolt/screw that holds the surround on the fog light?
