Hilux SR5 Tub

Hilux SR5 Tub

Postby Rhodesy27 on Thu, 10 Feb 2011 4:30 +0000

Hi

Just wondering if a SR5 tub can be factory chosen on a SR model hilux. I am looking at getting a current2011 SR and placing a Canopy on the back but i am not a real fan of the SR style tub....

Cheers

if not you may be ably to buy it without the tub at all , many people do this when they are putting a tray on , and then buy one of the many tubs available second hand on ebay , usually of fairly new cars and sound to be in good condition . just a thought.

Hilux SR5 Tub

The only problem would be with the dealer registering the vehicle without anything on the back. I don't think they would do it as it wouldn't meet ADRs

Cheers Matt.

Hey Mate,

If your based in Sydney we have a SR5 tub for a Dual cab ready to go.
It is silver and the condition is very good.
It has the factory flares on it.

We also have a white tub from an Extra Cab... it has the smooth sides, but no flares.

Drop us a PM or email if your interested.

Cheers

Anyone make trays up there?

Go and see them. Reedmans on the Tablelands are the first that spring to mind.

Speak to the Pre-Delivery Managers at the dealerships.

They usually have access to tubs more so than the salespeople.

They are usually quite impartial to cash and bottles of JB or JD as well.

Thats probably not too bad if the colour matches right.

I bought a new when removed white SR5 tub for $350 from my dealership, then was $600 mates rates to have it painted to match my truck.
