my resolution is 480 x 800. I have a brand new one, and I think there was an upgrade in screens.
If you do get stuck, I have a resolution testing program which I can put out there if you need it.

yeah there's a system.ini or settings.ini or similar on the SD. in that file is the display resolution settings..

The file is SYS.ini.

If you want to view camera images that are on your SD card, resolution and ratio are not correct

On mine I am able to access my play lists, ramdom and repeat, do the Dig Options do that ? Mine does not charge ipod either from the ipod jack, I have not tried it but could you connect via the usb outlet so that you can control via ipod and it might charge it too????

On that website I posted earlier looks like the guy has written some more advanced programs for these units, maybe they are of use?
Not my domain so I wil let the computer dudes on this site work on that one.

No the only controls is play- pause, stop, next and previous bit of a downer as it all i use now no cd's, haven't tried running throught the usb it would probably work,if your driving for long periods you can't play and charge at the same time.
Other than the ipod control they are not a bad unit

Mick have you considered copying all of your music to SD card and playing it from there? You will then be able to break it up into playlists plus you have no recharge of ipod issues

Very happy with this install in my truck.
Great value for money.

Hi Matt,

Does the bluetooth have a remote microphone or is it on the unit like the original crappy Toyota one?

I'm over this standard SR5 unit. I keep having callers tell me they can't hear me properly. Are you callers getting a clear voice at their end?
Cheers

Re: DIG Options GPS

Postby gruntre69 on Tue, 30 Mar 2010 3:59 +0000

I spoke to the Guy at DIG_options today and here are some answers to my specific questions:

Screen res: 800 x 480

Ipod intergration: Has an Ipod cable from rear of unit. This does not give full intergration IE: Full Ipod control on touch screen. It also does not provide power to the latest Ipods. (which I have)

Aux Input Jack: Front panel - no
Rear unit - Yes by RCA plugs (Need to adapt to 3.5 mini stereo jack for MP3 players or Ipod)

DVD drive: single disc

Firmware upgradeable: No

He also mentioned that there will be a new release in the next 12 months which will have full Ipod intergration and will be firmware upgradeable but this will be a premium product and will be around $1000 more than the current TP09X1 model.

So it seems that the Ipod can work via its own controls and the Auxilary input, and could be charged via a USB adaptor via the standard Ipod white cable. This is just as good as the SR5 which has limited Ipod control and browsing functions and has that annoying control disabling when the vehicle is moving (which the phone also has).

I was wanting a reversing Camera on my rig, and with the Tojo camera at around the $350 mark it seems that this unit is a much better option even though it is a little more to outlay. GPS.... Better bluetooth for the phone..... Very tempting!

I also have been speaking with him and heard there are new models coming out within the next 6 weeks, and he mentioned something about a digital tuner but not sure what he meant (possibly integrated TV digital tuner so you won't need the external tuner option?). I am trying to clarify this.....

The version being sold now has different software to the ones that most of the guys on here purchased towards the end of last year, but same functionality apparently.

Can someone who has one of these please confirm if the digital TV antenna can be mounted permanently (say on the bullbar like a UHF antenna) so that you don't have to set it up every time you want the TV?

I am still unsure if it still comes with IGO8 Street navigation software, or a demo that is only valid for a month or so. Another thing I am trying to confirm....

Also, A big question i ahve for you guys who have installed them - What is the sound quality like as compared to the standard unit. Is the sound much better???

Rich.

- trying to get some answers so I can make a final decision.

I'm not too worried about TV but answers on sound quality and GPS software would be very helpful. They don't really have much in the way of information do they. Not even their own website, just Ebay. Slightly concerning when one thinks about support. The guy did say that he'd help by phone with install questions and such....

Yes he did mention that the inteface was cleaned up to look a bit neater but no hardware changes in the units, hence the outdated Ipod power supply.
Cheers

I got this one
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/6-5-DVD-GPS-PLAY ... 519144c598

as Dig options did not have any stock, I offered them $500 and they accepted it. Comes with IGO8 preloaded. Sound quality, bluetooth and navigation, rear camera are all great, would happily get it again but don't know maybe the Dig one is still better again????
