Part no. for Rugged X grille with radar sensor

Part no. for Rugged X grille with radar sensor

Postby patrick.2sv on Mon, 08 Jun 2020 3:54 +0000

I would like to replace the chrome grille on my 2019 Toyota Hilux Double Cab, wide body, 6-speed MT, 2.4L Diesel (2GDFTV, DCRE), left hand drive (AHTHB3CD..., GUN125L-DNFMXW) with the black Rugged X one with the radar sensor and flat Toyota badged (with PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM / ACTIVE SAFETY PACKAGE, which I already have on my Hilux). Does anyone know the part no. for it?
Phil-Gilbert-Toyota says it's 53100-0K906, but I think it's not the right one. Looks for me like the standard grille just unpainted black, not chrome. Can anyone confirm this part no.?
I would take a used one in good condition, if someone want to sell his. Just has to be the grille for the radar sensor assembly.
Thanks a lot for any help!

Are you just wanting to cover the chrome ? Maybe get it Vinyl wrapped ? Thats what we are doing to mine.

Yes, I don't like the chrome grill. Just want a black one like on the Rugged X. This one looks better to me than the standard one.
Still thinking about replacing the whole frontend with the Rogue bumper grill combo. But this is much more expensive than just the grill...

So what's the big deal with a few stripes and some black paint? Its a real pity TRD didn't build a REAL Hilux with REAL performance bits instead of a bit of plastic and a big screen TV on the dash! Are they some kind of collectable like the Leyland P76 which ended its days in a museum?
For those who don't remember the P76 it was a monumental shift from the run-of-the-mill vehicles in the 1970s and was the end of British Leyland because it didn't do what it was expected to do! I owned one for a while and the best bit was the Rover 4.4 litre V8 which is still the hotrod engine for old timers like me.
And to think Toyota have upped their prices to make the ruggedX look like a Maserati Quattro Porte! I'd rather have a real performance vehicle like the Maserati  oh yes even Enzo Ferrari said Maserati was a tractor manufacturer. Or was that Lamborghini??
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.
