I'm ordering a new Hilux this week and getting some ARB gear fitted at delivery. I have a question that I can't answer through Google or searching this forum and ARB aren't open today...

How does the number plate get mounted on a Summit bullbar? Is it mounted on a (fixed or flip up) bracket or direct to the bar? Looking at pics here, there seems to be quite a bit of variation in how licence plates are mounted on Summit bars. I need to know if I should be ordering an additional flip up bracket in my build, or if the bar will come with it.

I'm using a slimline plate if that makes any difference.

The summit bar comes with a small number plate bracket that is fitted during assembly, if you plan to fit a winch its best to fit the flip up bracket when first getting and assembling bar because its a pain to fit it after the bar is assembled. Otherwise if you don't plan to fit a winch the the bracket that comes with the bar is fine, we have loads of these bars in the field now in some prerty horrible conditions and haven't had any dramas with them braking or falling off.

I know this an oldish post but I just installed a winch into my ARB bar today and I'm trying to find a numberplate flip bracket.

Does anyone else have a flip numberplate bracket?

Have you called ya local arb? Should be a stock item and not real expensive.

Depending on style of your Bullbar (age of car)
Deluxe bar 3500630 is what you need
Summit bar it’s part of the winch installation kit 3500720

From memory so don’t quote me.

But all ARBs should keep these on the shelf as a stock item.
