Awning/Pioneer Platform

Hi all, just thought I'd show you my new Darche awning that I've now mounted to my Hilux. It's 2.5m x 2.5m. I used Rhino Rack 43100 brackets on the platform and a Rhino Rack 31111 universal bracket on the front Vortex bar. I originally just had it mounted to the canopy, but I didn't like it hanging out the front with the flex that it had. To allow for movement between the cabin and canopy, I installed m6 flexible mounts to the front bracket. Time will tell how this setup goes.

Hi Adam, how is this setup going after 18 months? Have you still got the awning mounted this way? I've got the same roof rack setup and am looking at the best way to mount an awning.

Hi, yes I still have this setup. I don't leave the awning on all the time though. It's so easy to put on and off that I just install it when needed. So far its been great.

If you're taking the awning on-and-off frequently, might be worth looking at this kit.
