Done heaps. They dont mate. You need to use the arb ones and wire in an extra loom. Reason for this is the factory ones are only 19w and the arb ones are 55w.

Could you run an LED bulb and use the stock wiring ?

Cant see why not man. You'd probably just have to change the plug on the wiring to suit the globe ya get.

Thanks very much,
Speaking to my toyota dealer today, they are claiming that they are now getting people to sign a warranty disclaimer when fitting aftermarket bars, has anyone else come across this?
Cheers

Hi A,Sharwood Yes I was told same thing when I put my summit bar on I think I know which dealer told you that, but may be now all dealers have been told to do that by Toyo Aust. However for goodness sake do NOT get the bar put on by the dealer, or even purchase off them they will charge you a mark up on it & chances are their fitting staff may be lucky to fit one of those bars a week where as if you go direct to an ARB company shop ( & NO warranty disclaimer to sign) they fit may be two or more every day & you can wrangle a much better deal & get full ARB warranty too.
Cheers. :D

yes, i will be calling ARB and a few other toyota contacts tomorrow to see why this has now become i thing, i plan to install the bar myself, just purchase through the dealer as a supply only item, i wonder why they advertise aftermarket items as available at the dealer when they hit you with this, i have purchased a number of cars through the dealer and got the bars as supply only and this has never come up before.
