After much searching on the net couldn't find any picutres in regards to fitting a winch to a genuine Toyota bull bar.

Thought Id upload some pictures of a Runva Winch fitted to a genuine Toyota bull bar to give anyone ideas on what it looks like or where to mount the winch solenoid. Big thanks to Brendan and his team at Ultimate Suspension who fitted the winch when my Hilux was getting a lift.



Winch Solenoid was attached using the original bracket bent into place.



Winch clutch is easily accessed with the Toyota spring kit which replaces the original mesh and leaves a hole to stick your hand through.



The winch battery isolator was mount on to of the fuse box



Just a note if you have the bull bar already on without the winch cradle the whole bull bar will need to be removed.

Did you use the genuine winch cradle and fitting kit?

How much did the kit cost mate?

From memory around the $480 mark

I know you can get the winch cradle separate but can you order the fitting kit separate as well, or does that come with the cradle?

Hi adamkberger,
To fit the runva was the winch cradle modified at all as it’s not a Warn winch? I’ve heard the cradle is suited to a Warn only, though that was an opinion.
