Iron Man 4X4 Front recovery points for 2016 SR5?

I have 2016 SR5 Dual Cab. I asked Toyota to install an ARB front recovery point when they installed the bar. They tried and failed. So I am wondering if anyone has fitted the Iron Man front recovery points with the Toyota OEM bar? I contacted Iron Man direct. They say it should work but they hadn't heard of anyone doing it yet.

I have an ARB summit bar and asked the Ironman dealer in Pakenham if their recovery points would fit but he said "no". It's looking very much like ARB or nothing and at $800 for the pair (inc fitting and removing and re-installing the bar) it looks like it will be nothing! Two dealers now have said to just use the tie down points, a bridle and gentle technique. I hope if I need to test this system that the guy towing is happy with that!

You only need one of the ARB points.

I recovered a bloke in a new SR5 at Stockton on the weekend and was glad I brought along a bridle. Won't go without one now.

Did anyone proceed with luck on the recover points (Ironman or other) with the Toyota OEM bar?
Thanks in advance.

I gave up for the present. Decided to put money elsewhere. I've been using a bridle on the OEM points. Seems ok. Waiting to see if someone else comes up with a better solution.

Anyone had any more luck with recovery points to suit the summit bar other than the arb ones?

I have been using the OEM points on two Prado's and now Hilux they are same design and I reckon they are solid, scull dragged my Prado off the beach with two other Prado's using a bridle on those points.

They do and the points themselves are well made but a lot of other issues fitting.

The instructions and parts fitment for the OEM bar are incorrect, and they are now supplying an updated Version 2 of the recovery points but not have updated the instructions for this either.

There is some extra drilling and machining of the OEM bar hardware required and some of the supplied bolts are also too short for an OEM installation and other bits such as washers are inferior quality and bend into the holes before the recommended torque is reached.

Best to re-use as many of the OEM Totota bolts and stronger washers as possible if you go this route and allow time for messing around and shopping for more hardware midstream.
