Factory plastic tail gate liner

Hi, I bought my new hilux in February and had it fitted with the factory toyota plastic tub liner and tray cover.

The tailgate plastic liner is held in place by 4 factory screws and double sided tape near the top of the tray.

Issue is the double sided tape is useless, has anyone else had this issue ? I have tried to replace with stronger tape but still no luck. I don't want to rivet it or screw it in place.

Will let them know at the 20,000 km service.

Same here, mine has taken no notice of the double sided tape and just lifted/deformed off due to heat. Now acts as a great bumper slowing down loose objects which would otherwise have smashed into the tailgate.

Mine too. I just took it back to Toyota they replaced under warranty. Not sure if i could be bothered to take it back if it happens again.
