Winch without a bull bar

Winch without a bull bar

Postby master_manoj on Fri, 26 Aug 2016 9:19 +0000

Hello All

Looking to close a deal on the new hilux.

I was seeking an advise whether adding a winch directly to the hilux chasi would be of any issue?

I am not too keen in adding the bull bar

I saw this mod and really liked the way it looks but wanted to know if it would breach any warranty ?

Thank you

[Rolux] I guessing you have never hit a roo or a cow ???

[Rolux] BBs have lots of down sizes ( load , entry angles ) until they are used as designed :)

[Rolux] I have never seen a ute with a winch & no BB, are you wanting to make it removable 'swappable' and used on the rear as well ?
Looking to buy

Hey Sa

I intend to keep the winch at the front and will not use it for a rear.

I am more of a re-creational 4wder..my current lux is all decked up. have done heaps of trips on it both bush and beach but never scrapped my bb may b i am not challenging the Lux enough ;) or may be i am gentle in handling it.

The reason why i want to do it without the bb is to get a feel of it does before i add stuffs to it after couple of months or so.

Cheers

Check the front runner website, i know they have a winch cradle availible to fit, although you will need to cut some bits out of the plastic bumper
