Hi. Does anyone know if a second auxiliary tank (not a replacement main tank) is available for the current model hilux ?

When I have built up last two Hilux trays, I had a tank made up which fitted between the chassis rails, and up close to the tray cross members. Then, I plumbed it in to the filler pipe of the main tank, with a tap. On long trips, I just turn the tap on when the main is nearly empty, and it just runs in. Naturally, I have two fillers. My current tank is 54 litres, added to the standard 76 l gives a 130 l, which gives me a range of about 1200 km. This is easy to do when you are building the tray, but a bit difficult to install with the tray in place.

I had 'Boab' brand over spare wheel aux tank on my N70.
It was distributed by Dolium years ago. Local ARB dealer got one in for me.
Doesnt look like Dolium do them any more
Front Runner are distributing this style auxiliary tank now... in Africa.
The Australian Front runner website doesnt list it but in regards to compatibility:
https://support.frontrunneroutfitters.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000099949-Does-the-Toyota-Hilux-2005-Current-Auxiliary-70l-Fuel-Tank-the-new-Hilux-Revo-All-models-

This is 10L bigger 8-) it still reads to appear to fit both N70 and N80
https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/za/toyota-hilux-dc-2005-curr-auxiliary-80l-fuel-tank.html

Opposite Lock deal with Front Runner gear in Australia.
Could call either front runner or OL to see if they can get them in - if this sort of tank is what your looking for

TOYZX might be able to add further info during the working week - might still be available thru ARB

Another custom option

http://www.enmachind.com.au/

Enmach industries do all shapes and sizes of poly tanks and filler kits etc. just a matter of figuring out what works for you.

Rare on the Aussie market but worth a look.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like it may be a custom one with a tap that simply drains into the main filler.

Just out of curiosity... why not a replacement main tank? Or do you already have one and need more?

X2 on this.

Seeing there are quite a few options out there.

As a auxiliary tank found you another option.

https://www.browndavis.com.au/tray-tanks/

As a monster primary with a tag along aux built onto the front at 182L total capacity I would recommend this too

http://thelongranger.com.au/toyota/hilu ... ent/tr75lx

I have long rangers 150L and also the 36L water tank combo set up which is basically a split version of the above tank.
Love the fact that the water is out of sight and out of mind. Stainless steel means you don’t get that plastic taste which comes with a lot of other plastic bladders also. When water is stored for a while.

On that note I do know of diesel bladders also if you have the capacity to store such a thing. If it is a option?
