OK think I know what you mean, if we set comparison really low say 5 litres 100k & we will get around 10 litres / 100 it should see a dollar amount, I think. cheers. :o

Well that explains why mine is not working then . It's been driving me crazy trying to work it out. Can't do better than 11L per 100km. According to the computer anyway. I hope this update fixes my fuel average. Because I know I'm doing roughly 9.5L per 100km when I work it out manually. And it would be nice to see how much money I am saving Lol.

Black lux, if you are basing that on the figures you previously posted then I think you are manually calculating incorrectly if you work 550km in 59L to be 9.5 L/100k. 59/(550/100)=10.7 L/100k

Whilst my gauge/trip computer states empty with 20L left like most people, the fuel consumption figure shown by the trip computer is bang on correct against my manual calculations.

.

You are right I was calculating it' wrong I always thought you divide kilometres by the litres but that's calculate km's per litre of fuel. I'm a truckie and we normally go bye Kms per litre when calculating fuel consumption. But it's still out by 0.3 lol

I saw 8 on a trip to qld, but usually I am at 11 too.

Blacklux, you can change it to display km/l if that is what you are used to.

Hi nicovdw Just referring to your comparison fuel setting & being able to see an amount of currency/dollars, have you been able to see any figures come up to show the amount spent or saved I think there are a few of us that are trying to get it to work but not having any luck as yet. I thought that by setting the comparison really low it may force it to show something, so I set mine to 5 litres / 100 km when actually getting 10 to 11 litres / 100 km in the real world but no that did not work either. :? Cheers.

Hi creaky yep ok that is what I thought too so I set it at 20 litres / 100 km still did not work however will try again & set it at a crazy figure may be 50 litres /100km if it will go that high sooner or later we will crack it. ;) CHEERS.

Or just forget about it. It is a stupid gimmick.

I did see somthing like $4 or somthing once. Completwly meaningless.

So, anyone know when the gearbox and fuel firmware will be GA?

Oh, if you do want to get some figure there, also reset all the historic consumption figures.

Well looks like a Toyota have a strange way of calibrating the fuel gauge. Have a new rav4 td work car with a 60ltr tank. Gauge under empty as far as I dare but cant get more than 49ltr in it.
I love hybrid cars - means more fuel for me

Driving back from the Goldie to Bris yesterday fuel lamp illuminated at Burleigh. Thought blow that there's still 20l left at least.

Drove 30km past when Range read 0km, so about 75km from lamp on. Total recorded distance 675km from that tank.
When I refuelled that range to empty was '675km' 68l went into the tank. Hypothetically another 100km range???

Could have sworn it previously used to read ~580km range to empty. (Sept 2016 Manual 4wd). Wish I'd paid more attention, cause I'm now wondering has the range reset itself?

Any further word on the firmware patch? Toyota Update number? I either didn't have the update from factory or it doesn't work.

Cheers.

Anyone else know why their range to empty reads after filling?

mine always says about 580km after refilling, even if ive just done 650-700km's to a tank it doesn't seem t recalibrate as it doesn't count the km's after it says refuel and that's about 100-150km's

Yep, the re-calibration is crook. Not sure what it is about it, maybe an average of previous tanks with a least squares adjustment and weighted obs? Who know with Japanese, they love complication.

Last fill yesterday was 640km, down from 675km.

I drove my work hilux 170km past "empty". Because the tray has been removed and it now has a canopy, dealer keeps claiming they moved the fuel filler and that's why it's not filling to full (only gets about 53 litres). Well I've just proved that theory wrong. total distance driven was 680km.

Same issue here, until today I thought I only had a 60 litre fuel tank. The most I have ever got in it is about 55l, thats with the range showing down to 30-40 klms, and the fuel light on :?
Any word on anyone getting a software upgrade to fix this?
