I had a line item on my 10k service invoice that listed emptying out oil water separator. Will look to see what the exact wording was.

I had a look under the hood, and think I spotted it, but have not tried to see how it works.

I put in one in mine - just added insurance for some of the servos I visit outback. Yes you have to prime but no issue - just push on the top of the factory one after you install the second until it becomes firm to push. Was a 2 hour job for me as my first time and really needed to make it fit well - its crammed in there with a dual battery and the wiring I have hanging of that.

I went for this one cause it had a black plate. Bad quality instructions that made no sense so I found instructions from another seller on ebay and used theirs - they are all the same in the hose routings.

Just trying to work out a battery tray that will fit with the secondary battery, what brand battery tray have you got installed?

Search my friend, there's pages of information here on fuel prefilter and water traps, the OEM one is very basic and you can't see any water/gunk unless you drain it but a good prefilter has a glass bowl so you can see it before it does any damage.
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.
