Sagging OME leaf springs

Hello,

I have just got these OME leaf springs installed. They have done 3000km. I have the suspension and GME upgrade on hilux to about 3465kg

The hilux is sitting at about 3400kg fully loaded, however the leafes dip down from the axle before curving up. Im no expert but i thought leafes should follow a smooth smile curve. They seem overloaded, but well within ARBs upgraded weight.

Got any pics showing the shackle hangers. First impressions suggest the spring pack is too short for your model. Can't confirm this without more pics.

Hangers seem to be at a reasonable angle. The inverted centres don't look right to me, but I'm not up on what parabolic springs might do, I'd suggest getting a suspension specialist have a look if for no other reason than to be satisfied you've got the correct setup for your needs.

Then something's not right.
Like Dave said, check your shocks aren't too short.
It still won't hurt to get a professional opinion, maybe?

Hi Silverfox,
I have a 22 SR5 with the 3150 GVM upgrade, mine was 300kg constant in rear, OME with BP51 like you. I just had a look and mine are similar. I'm thinking it might be a tactic to get more wheel travel?

I can't fault mine, the only problem is it is perfect when loaded and not towing, but with 200 odd kg of ball weight from the caravan the rear dips and the front rises a bit, slightly nose up. I dont' like this at all and am thinking of getting ARB to add another spring up to 500 constant (about to post the question for advice)

So in a nutshell yours look similar to mine and I'd say it is just design.
Cheers

Damo
