OME BP-51 kit vs Terrain Tamer Pro kit

OME BP-51 kit vs Terrain Tamer Pro kit

Postby sam355 on Sat, 30 Oct 2021 12:03 +0000

Hi all,
Which one of these 2 kits is the better kit for ride comfort? There are a few adds & info online on both but would appreciate some feedback from people who have these on… I hear the TT Pro kit with the parabolic leaf springs provides a good ride at the same time BP-51s with the 2 way adjustment can do better?!?
In terms of built quality if I’m not mistaking they seem similar.
Thanks,
Sam

I doubt you'll find anyone who has done a fair comparison. The BP-51 owners will be out sure enough to tell you how good the shocks are - mainly due to the pain they are feeling after spending so much on suspension parts

My advice is go with the brand that offers better warranty support in your area.
I might be wrong.

Hiluxxury is right - the BP51s are expensive and there is always the temptation to self-justify your purchase… however I can say that (once dialed in - they were way way off out of the box) they deliver a really well-controlled suspension. Nothing will make a Hilux a limousine nor a sports car, but good damping over the right spring rates will make the vehicle ride (and handle) the best it can given its design intent. (Oh, and I know nothing about the Terrain Tamer kit.)
