Suspension Too Firm

Suspension Too Firm

Postby rjo89 on Sun, 28 Mar 2021 6:28 +0000

Hey all,

Back in 2018 I installed a remote reservoir Superior Engineering kit into my Hilux with constant 400kgs+ rear springs. Since then I have removed most of the weight from the back of the ute, and as such, the springs are way too firm. I don't have any flex, I feel every single bump through my spine, and unless I have a trailer attached, it makes for an all round uncomfortable ride.

Is there any way that I can make the springs lighter in the back aside from replacing them with lighter springs? They're obviously not that old and are good quality, so if there's a way I can keep them that would be handy!

Thanks

Experiment with taking a leaf out of each side.
I might be wrong.

Where are you located. I have the opposite and would be interested in a swap. Mine are ultimate springs, up to 150kg constant load.
