Steering geometry after fitting bigger tyres

Steering geometry after fitting bigger tyres

Postby DenSos on Sat, 13 Mar 2021 12:48 +0000

Hi guys,

I now have a nice shiny set of 285/70/17's on my N80, the tyre shop had to of course push everything forward to allow the bigger wheels to clear. I would love to try and get all the steering/suspension geometry back to spec or close, would fitting adjustable lower control arms go a long way to fix this?

I already have a 3" lift with black hawk UCA's, diff drop etc, I would love to know what else I can do to improve everything if that makes sense.

Cheers,

Something like this and then you can move everything back a little: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=17250&p=256943&hilit=Body+mount#p256943

Keep in mind the body mount plays an important part in keeping the wheel from crushing your feet during a car accident - any modification will reduce its effectiveness.
I might be wrong.
