Hi guys so Ive had my ute for about 2 years now, today after some off-road I see the following crack on top of the strut, the anti rollbar was fouling the strut and rubbing against the spring, to me it didnt look too bad so I left it. So my question to you would be could I get this welded up? I have a few friends with Excellent welding skills. Have you seen anything like this before? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you hit it good! Never seen this damage in the upper strut mount before.
If anything, get it welded before it gets worse.
If the welds break later on i would change out the bolts to some longer ones and weld a braceplate on top of the strut mount there, would not effect the mount it self but will make it stronger.

x2 as above - weld it and brace it. Chassis crack all of the time but we dont see much of it happening on this forum.

Not common so to speak but have seen and fixed a few now. Definitely get it fixed before this happens!
