Hi All
Recently had 40mm TD Adjustable fitted to my 2018 rugged x. When I go over a large bump or drop I get a squeak... Took back to the guy who fitted it, said he couldnt find anything wrong so took him for a drive and he said wasnt suspension. Then took back to toyota who said he was the rubbers on the upper control arms. Its standard Hilux suspension so didnt think a 40mm lift would be too much trouble... Any suggestions? Cheers

Did he take out the UCA to fit the struts and not put it back together correctly? If everything is assembled correctly, it is ok.

The UCA is almost identical to the Gen7, Tacos, FJs, Prados etc. It's never been a notable problem. I might just go away.

Try your bonnet stoppers.

If he had the upper or lower control arm mount bolts loose and re-tightened them with the suspension at full droop then they can make noise and potentially be damaged. With the car parked on a flat surface, loosen the upper and lower bolts fully then bounce the ute a little and re-tighten. This should take any load off the bushes.
