Looking at getting my suspension sorted for my 2018 SR5 DC. We have a couple of off the shelf kits here, mainly ARB and Ironman but the price points on these make the basic kits around 3k. So ive been looking a setup ex AU(i work in freight so its cheap to move it over the ditch)
The one i'm looking at is this:

Is anyone running this set up. I have an Ironman bar(with winch), side steps and brush bars. Standard wellside tube with canopy / draws and 2nd battery(approx 200-250kg in the rear)
Currently still on the factory 17's with the dealer fitted 265/65/17 Bridgestone AT's - moving to a 265/70/17 once the lift is in.

I got a heavy duty Old Man Emu kit installed in a 2019 SR5 a few months back. Cost was pretty much $3k. Advice from the shop was I needed 600kg leaves in the back. The ride is so stiff and the vehicle shakes/vibrates like hell. Every bump is amplified and its almost like the suspension has a resonating vibration effect which has had me visiting different mechanics and tyre shops getting alignment checks and wheels/tyres re-balanced (which has had no effect). Also tried centre bearing spacers and rear caster wedges thinking the shakes/vibrations could be driveline related.
It was a poor decision based on bad advice and I've regretted it ever since the install. Local ARB shop couldn't care less.
In a few weeks I'll be pulling it all out and replacing with other brand, 300kg constant load rear leaves and airbags.
Anyone interested in getting some reasonably new OME 600kg rear leaf springs?

Posted: Tue, 22 Mar 2022 4:49 +0000Finally got my 45mm Bilstein/King lift kit installed by Fulcrum today. Ordered in January. I got the 500kg rear spring option to handle a fully loaded canopy + caravan. Happy with the height increase from stock. Cost me $2874 installed. 5 year warranty.
I can also confirm that Fulcrum provide rebranded EFS rear springs with their Bilstein kits. King springs on the front.
