Abs light - 4wd malfunction

Abs light - 4wd malfunction

Postby dametto.1 on Fri, 02 Dec 2016 9:56 +0000

I did the OME installation on my truck. After that the abs light and traction control was on.
I was told to take it on toyota and move the computer to set up again. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I went to my farm and when I hit the 4x4 showed a message on the dashboard. "2WD-4WD exchange mode malfunction. Consult the dealer."

I turned on the 4H and the light of the 4LO blinked, did not hit either of the two alternatives, stayed all the time 2wd.

Who fitted the suspension? Sounds like they may have buggered something up?

I installed in any mechanics here of my city. I believe they broke the abs sensor.

Gotta be careful with these new rigs, very easy to rip the wire off an abs sensor when letting the suspension droop with the shocks out!

That's odd must have had a rough suspension job.
I'm 700000km in with trips to Frazer and all over without a single issue.
Best hilux ever if you ask me.

Ok I just got this message up on mine "2wd-4wd mode change malfunction see dealer".
Mine however happened when I was in 4WD and I can't get it out.
Car came back from a service two days before.
Is it just an ABS sensor and if so where do I find it?
Help boys she's binding up!

Have you checked the fuses
The sensors are at the back of the hubs on each wheel

Cheers for the reply.
I can see the sensors, nothing seems to be out of place.
As for the fuses I don't know where they are. I looked in the accessory fuses box next to the battery, nothing there. I looked behind the glove box, everything in order. I looked right through the engine bay and down around the drivers area, nothing.
