Upper Control Arm for 285/65 Tyre

Upper Control Arm for 285/65 Tyre

Postby JP106 on Tue, 09 Aug 2016 6:21 +0000

Hey guys

Has anyone fitted aftermarket upper control arms to fit 285/65 R18 Tyres? I have been told that the standard UCA will rub?

I will also be fitting a Dobinson Mrr with 60mm lift front and 50mm rear.

Thanks
John

Looking at a KMC Addict R18 8.5 inch. Not sure what offset yet.

Cheers

Not sure how many have put 285s on the new ones yet. The old ones ya need a minimum of +15 for it to not touch the uca. Most ran +10 or 0.

I've put aftermarket UCA's on and run the standard SR5 18inch rims with 285/65 BFG A/T's. Cant remember what brand, I got them through Brent at Wizard Performance in Tweed Heads NSW. Close but no rubbing.

I have Mastercraft Courser CXT 285/65-18 on mine and it does not rub the upper control arm. There is probably about 1cm space btw the tire and the control arm.

I'm fitting a -22 16" rim running 285/75/16 MT tyres tonight. I have a 2" lift, I'll let you know if there is any dramas
