New 2018 SR5 rims on older SR5

I currently have 17 inch SR5 rims on my 2010 hilux (factory flares fitted). Tyres are standard 265/65/17

Will a new set of SR5 2018 rims with factory 265/60/18 fit without rubbing?

Thanks

The first number is the width of the rubber (265) and as they are both the same then they are the same width. Second number is the height of the tyre wall or the profile (60). The new ones are smaller profile but as the rims are 18 instead of 17 then they cancel each other out so in theory they should be identical to your current ones. I may be wrong so if anyone has any other thoughts chime in. Check the stud pattern is the same but otherwise I don't think there would be a problem.

I don't know why you'd do it, 65 are about the minimum profile you'd want and tyres are cheap and plentiful in 265/65/17. The 265/60/18 will be close to the same diameter as the 265/65/17 tyres but be careful on a 2010 with that diameter tyre with the tiny brakes on a pre 2012, as going up from the 255/70/15 originals is a significant jump and your rotors will suffer. Best bet is to upgrade the rotors and calipers at the same time to either 2012-2015 size or TRD size.
