Hi guys.
I pick up my 2016 SR dual cab 4wd Hilux in about 1 week. it has 17inch steel black wheels standard.

my question is does anyone know if 16 inch rims will fit ok and the rim not hit anything in regards to brake drums and callipers or similar, being smaller etc.

I want more tire and less rim basically if it is possible

Good question, I'm also looking to change my stock 17's to something else

If they have the same caliper and disc size as the facelift n70 you won't have any dramas as some brands of 16's will fit.

I tried on a set on my Bridgestone alloys that i have, 16x7 +1 offset and the caliper x factor on the rim clears it by about 1mm.
I think safely if i wanted to run those with some 285/75/16s i would run a 5-8mm shim style spaced just to give a little peace of mind on the clearance.

Using shims is illegal and dangerous, not something I would suggest to anyone.

But wouldn't running almost 0 offset and 33's be illegal and dangerous also?

Running 285s on a 7 inch rim is a bit dangerous on its own.

someone on here fitted Mickey Thompson side bitters with 265/75r16 Mtz's which apperntly fit with a minor lift, it was +0 though so would be illegal.

Just put new shoes on my 2016 SR double cab today, replaced the 17inch factory steelies with 16inch steelies with 265/75r16 muddies. Had to shave off a tiny bit of calliper. But not much. Also had to remodel front mud flap and bit of panel beating to stop rubbing on full lock. Other than that she fits well and looks mean!

(2017 SR5) dynamic steel rims 16/7" p30 fit and clear the side of the calliper by 5-7mm and clear the back of the calliper by 2.5mm. I used to run these on my pb challenger. Tyres are 235/8516 BFG muddies. No lift. No rubbing.

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone knows if I can fit 265/70/16 rim on me 2016 hilux extra cab sr5 ?
It has a 2" old man emu bp51 suspension set up on it. And arb summit bullbar.
Am currently running the standard mags that cum with it 265/60/18.

Definitely can Jordan, I'm running 265/75r16 on mine with similar lift. Only certain model steel rims will fit though so best to trial fit them first.

Not a worry at all, I'm running King steel d-hole rims on mine, a friend has their sunraysia/triangle hole rims on his. Both of ours are +20 offset.

If you're on facebook, there's a few groups/forums for our model hilux which have a lot of info on.

I had a look at the d hole rims the today. Mm I like them but they just don't grab me
There is no ally rim that would fit ?
I like some of the tuff mag range.
But if none fit I will pic a steel rim like you suggested.
As I really want a 16" rim. More tire less rim.
Bf Goodrich I will be going 265/70 maybe 75 /16.

I have no idea about the allots mate, dare say they will fit more likely then steel rims since so best bet is jump onto the Facebook groups and search the groups for info on specific rims
