I've fitted 17" sunraysia rims to my hilux with 265x70 Federal Couragia MTS and the front tyres rubbed against the tyre flap. Even when I removed them they still tend to rub. Car hasn't been lifted

Max, I have my 16x8 p0 Helos with 285/75-16 (33s) that I will try with Zero lift to start.

Then Matrix (with adjustable UCAs) and 3" lift and I'll try again...

Hey guys just put a 275/70/18 on the factory rim. No lift.
It rubs on the upper control arm at full lock and the mud flap. The mud flap I can work with but the uca? Anything I can do? other than new rims with less offset. Haven't tried the compressed position yet! How do people test that? I'm assuming drive up on ramps.

you need to put at least one wheel spacer for not shaving in the control arms. I believe that with 2" lift and wheel spacer be all quiet. without lift will not go. I believe.

Been playing with these tyres. If I offset the wheel it will shift me rubbing elsewhere. With mud flap removed an some gently panel work the only rub point is the front of the uca at almost full lock. This is the case compressed and lifted. Anyone replace the ucas on the n80? Does the driver side bolt come out easily or do parts need to be removed to get it out?

I'm sure this forum wont encourage the illegal and dangerous use of wheel spacers.

Sorry wasn't clear. not interested in wheel spacers. Going to keep the factory rim. The only point it rubs on is the uca as explained above.

Could try some different uca's? Superior engineering.

sorry, it was an alternative. if you want to not buy new wheels is the only alternative.

Suspension and Tires

Good day everyone!..
Whats the widest tires i can use without any rubbing on the chassis or body?
Thought of using 285/70 or 275/75 bfgoodrich KO2...

I also just bought a set of Bilstein 5100. I want to level the truck out lifting the front 2"
and maybe 1" in the rear...
Do I need to do anything to other suspension parts if I go up 2" in the front?

Regards

I have these coming in 17 x 8.5 until the 20 x 9s come out later in the year, both with 35s.

And have these flares coming to suit.

With 3" lift running Icons with remote res and CDC compression adjusters with built in hydro bump zone in the rears, and 3 degree high clearance UCA's for the lift and bigger tyres.

Nice :D

Remember that 35s will significantly reduce braking performance. (Which is one very good reason why they are illegal ;) )

Current Hilux's have half decent brakes as opposed to the first few N70's that came out. Just a matter of driving accordingly.

DAZ, Im interested in those flares you posted. they look smaller in profile but the fenders look also cut open bigger....do you have a link you could share?
