Thanks for posting. Honestly, there is more knowledge on this site than in 90% of the dealers in RSA. Awesome

Piratepete.
Mate it is amazing what can be changed in cars these days with computers. What i find really annoying is that beeping sound you get with the key in the ignition while the door is open. I often sit with the door open doing paper work and it drives me crazy. I talked to my dealer and he said its a safety feature and cant be turned off. So whats the safety feature, i can't think of one.

What if i told you you could change the tone of your indicators :o

Had my 30k service today and asked if they could increase the volume and or tone of the indicators. When i picked up the car they said it's not an option and was not possible to change.

Hi "tropicrows" Tell them they are dreaming or smoking something. I am pretty sure it is in the hand book that you can but can only be done by the dealer. Anyhow I had mine done at that 1000k inspection it did increase but make sure you listen to it before it is done so you will know it has definitely been done when you get it back & get them to turn it up as far as it will go it is still not super loud but it is much better than before. CHEERS. ;) Ps No offence to "Piratepete but if he knows a better way do follow him he has never been wrong before. Cheers again.

Hey guys I'm glad I have been able to help everyone out with there auto lights.

Tropicrows your dealer was be smoking something as it is in the customization under the warnings tabs. In saying this if you have a workmate edition there might not be anything to change, but on the Sr and sr5 there is a lot of customisable features.

As for the seat belt buzzer you can unplug it switch or you should be able to get a dealer to do it. The choice is yours.

Piratepete wrote:Ok. So don't be upset if you don't get it the first time.

1) switch ignition to on
2) make sure dimmer switch is in lowbeam and not pushed forward into constant high beam
3) turn light switch onto parker setting

4) turn ignition off
5)Hold headlights into highbeam
6)While highbeam is pulled on, turn to headlight than back to parker ( not auto) 5 times

7)Release high beam
( the headlamps will flash in relation to what setting they are currently set on. It should flash 3 times with the setting being 0 )( if they don't flash you and not in the settings.)

8) Hold highbeam on again and turn between headlight and parker setting.

The number of times you turn it will vary the sensitivity.
Once -40
Twice -20
Three 0
Four +20
Five +40

9) Once you have turned between headlamps and parker for your desired preference release the highbeam.

The headlamps will flash for the number that you have selected.

And once it flashes say once, you are all complete :) :)

I personally have mine set to -40 and find it perfect but if you want to try -20 give it a shot.

Now bend over touch your toes while turning your head in circles. :P

worked first go!
have set mine to -40, as i have a dash mat and i think that it was shading the sensor a bit....
cheers piratepete, now how do i get rid of the door open beep with the ignition on accessories (push button SR5)??????
Thanks.
